Holiday, Activities & Food Programme (HAF)

Since 2020, Latitude Sports Stars have been proud providers of the Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) Programme.

In 2018 the HAF programme was introduced nationally to provide support to children in receipt of free school meals through holiday periods. Following successful pilots between 2018 and 2020, the programme was rolled out to all upper tier local authorities in 2021.

Since 2021, the HAF programme has enabled providers like ourselves and many others to support hundreds of thousands of children and their families throughout the Easter, Summer, and Christmas school holidays.

The HAF programme funding is primarily for school aged children from reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals (FSM). We as providers of the programme currently cater for primary school children from years 1 - 6.

Benefits-related FSMs are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits and have a claim which is verified by their school or local authority. Please be aware that as providers we are unable to verify this.

Finally please note that all children in reception, year 1 and year 2 in England’s state-funded schools receive a free meal under the universal infant free school meals (UIFSM) policy.

Infant pupils who receive a free meal under UIFSM must also be eligible for benefits-related FSM to be able to access a place on the HAF programme.

Summer HAF 2026 🐣

We are delighted to announced that this summer we will be running 3 weeks of Multi Sports & Activities through the (DfE funded) HAF Programme.

This summer we are running at new venue ST Anne’s Primary School for the first 2 weeks of the summer as well as our usual venue at Steeton Cricket Club where we will start on the second week of the summer holidays.

MONDAY 27TH JULY - FRIDAY 31ST JULY - ST ANNES PRIMARY SCHOOL & STEETON CC

MONDAY 10TH AUGUST - FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST - STEETON CC ONLY*

*Thursday 13th August - Buckden House Outdoor Education Centre Trip*

9.00am - 15.00pm Each Day

During our camps, we will be offering a wide range of sports and activities throughout the day. As well as our Sports, Games & Activities we will also be providing hot meals, hot & cold sandwiches, healthy snacks and many other food items.

Please provide your child a refillable drinking bottle throughout their time at the club.
